Solar power capacity in Europe, for example, is already 4 times bigger than in the US; it's almost half of the world's total.
According to a report: BP Statistical Review of World Energy June 2016 the installed capacity of photovoltaic power panels in Europe at the end of 2015 was 96893 MW, while in the USA: 25577 MW. It means that installed capacity of photovoltaic power in Europe is nearly four times larger than in the USA (3,8 times larger exactly).
According to report installed capacity of photovoltaic power worldwide amounts to 230606 MW. Europe’s contribution amounts to 42%. In accordance with methodology adopted, we consider the statement as fals, because measurement error is bigger than 5%.
